Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.
Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
Hot Stone Therapy
Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are used as tools to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.
Pregnancy Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation.
Add- On: Cupping Therapy
Cupping Therapy is great when added to a deep tissue session. This allows for the same effects of deep tissue but is well known as a deep tissue massage in "reverse". Cupping creates a vacuum over tight muscle tissue to allow for an increase in blood flow and allows the muscle tissue layers to "separate & breathe" for assistance in relieving that tension. This is not always recommended for first time clients unless you have had cupping before. There are also some contraindications that the therapist will review with you before your session to ensure appropriateness.
Add-On: Hot Stones
Hot Stones being used as an add-on to your service is usually for a targeted area (most commonly the back) and is not a full body hot stone service.
Aromatherapy as an add-on service allows you to use a blend of essential oils, infused with the lotion, in order to add further relaxation to your service. Hot towels & your choice of the aromatherapy blend will be used with this service. You can choose the Aromatherapy blend when you arrive for your session. *Please make therapist aware of any allergies*
Add-On: Himalayan Salt Foot Scrub
Depending on the length of service you are scheduled for, the foot scrub can take up to 10-15 minutes of your service time. If you normally like more focus to your feet then this is the perfect add on for you to choose. The Himalayan Salt Scrub is known to moisturize and nourish the skin. There is the use of hot towels, the salt scrub, & followed up with a seasonal body butter (you can choose unscented if you have allergies or do not like the scent).
Add-on: Scalp Massage
You can choose to add peppermint or an aromatherapy blend for your scalp massage. This service is usually 3-5 minutes within your scheduled time.
Add-on: Pain Relief
Pain Relief is recommended to add to your deep tissue massage if you have acute pain or muscle tension. Bio-Freeze or Tiger Balm is used to aid in continued relief after your session along with the use of hot towels.
Add-On: Cold Stone Therapy
Cold Stones are used either for a facial massage to reduce sinus pressure or for acute injury/inflammation of the muscle tissue in order to get relief. Cold stone therapy also works great for headaches and migraines.
